Ese Homeboy Que Pasa Wit You,,,
Been thinking about you alot lately. You been buzzin Anthony and "the valley". Several Vatos say they been thinking about Ya.. I was thinking about you and John Skinner driving me crazy with all those drumbeats while we worked Friday and Saturday nites at Joe Bob Browns Texaco in Anthony New Mexico, Texas.. It was my fate to work with two Drummers.. It was your "pendejadas" to beat out God knows how many rythms!! What a trip!! I do not have a clue as to what happened to Skinner... Maybe he became a "Shrink" like his Dad.. Maybe he became a Drummer in a Strip Joint!! Ok,, enough trips for today!! |

Howdy, Jimmy!
Still looking at the "Alien-Frog-Fly-Bird" on my desk from time to time that you created from soap stone in the 90s in Bad Boll. Maybe i should upload the interview we made back then for the FRS (Free Radio Stuttgart)? Maybe archive.org would be a good place to share it with the world...well...some day, maybe...we'll see... Please say "Hi" to all the other musicians you tune up with at "The Great Gig in the Sky"! And give Frank a smack, would you?! Or better two: One for making you only famous (not rich), and the other one for seeing his Doc too late... Missing you!! Captain Ahab |

Hi All
Doubt anyone will read this but I thought id share my memory of meeting Jimmy. I was at the Stables, a local live venue in Milton Keynes UK when Jimmy was playing with the Muffin Men about 1999 I think. Afterwards I bought a CD from him and told him I worked at the local music shop and was a player myself. He gave me his business card and said if i ever had any work for him, to give him a call..!! I would have thought that it should have been me asking him for work.! Great memory. Humble guy. |

Hiya Jimmy! I hope you're checking this page from time to time up there in the Great White Heavens! I can't wait to see your sons again for the first time in 40 years. Geronimo is just as excited as I'm to be performing at the Grateful Garcia Gathering as "Geronimo Black". I know you're proud of your sons. I'm honored to have known you and them all these years... Catch ya later alligator!
Luv & Hugs, -Tim |
