These houses are amazing! I first came to Sue's homes in 2004 with a close friend, and stayed in Captain's Cabin for a week. Just large enough to spread out, enjoy a meal with friends, and lovely to wake up to the best view on the island. Learned the island, and hated to leave.
I brought my family to experience St. John for a week in May 2008. The six of us stayed in Horizons. They all loved the island, the beaches, the laid-back atmostphere. We enjoyed a week of beaching, boating (Thank You Sue), and relaxing. Slept out on the deck, cooked great meals, and even worked (Again, Thanks Sue for the wireless internet connection at the house.) I would recommend St. John to anyone looking to relax, and recommend these houses as the best! |

A little piece of paradise that you will enjoy. Close to the best snorkeling (Salt Pond and Waterlemon Cay). If you like the peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Gorgeous view and a great breeze. Everything you need is already there. We had a wonderful vacation. Great food at the local restaurants. Would love to go back.

As much as I'd like to keep this place my little secret, it's only fair for me to share it and it give it five stars.
Coral Bay is a sleepy place so if you are looking for a resort - the late and loud nightlife, look in Cruz Bay. If you want real laughter with real people in a sublime setting and maybe some great blues music, this is it. Horizon has excellent owners who also can take you out for a day on the ocean which I equally recommend. Like any great trip, the pictures on the web just don't do the house justice. We arrived at sunset and found power out on this side of the Island. It was the start of one of many GREAT evenings spent on the deck. No reason to leave this side of the Island. Salt pond Bay for snorkeling, many hiking trails, Miss Lucy's for lunch!
Captain's Cabin was private and quiet for morning coffee or a romantic elegant dinner. Picture perfect view. Thank you Susan. The Cabin is everything you said it would be. Steve |

January 4-18, 2008
What an absolute paradise to spend our annual vacation! This is our 2nd stay on St John. First time we stayed in Captain's Cabin and this time we brought some friends! We filled both Horizons and Captain's Cabin! We enjoyed the extra room in Horizons with the same beautiful view of the islands and azure ocean water that you just can't take your eyes off of. I don't think that we would stay at any other place on this island. Horizons was equipped with every household item that I could think of. Sue was so accommodating to us. We think of her and Dan as our friends! Horizons is an exceptional vacation home. Beautiful wood thruout the house. Unique bathroom shower was real tropical. Huge windows from every corner gave us that feeling that I can't believe we are really here! Thank you Sue and Dan for another excellent vacation! We just got back from a marvelous stay at Horizons Cottage. We were a little worried about the heat in August, but the constant trade winds kept us cool. The view is superb and the cottage is well away from the heavily touristed areas of St. Thomas and most of St. John. A real gem.

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Captain's Cabin back in April. It was our first visit to St. John, and while we realized there were many sights to see on the island, we both agreed we would be perfectly content if we spent the entire week sitting on the deck and soaking in the incredible view! It's got to be one of the best on the island. The constant breezes were so refreshing, the little crabs scurrying under the trees were a delight, and I can't imagine I will ever experience anything quite like that open-air shower again! An amazing place. Thanks Sue!

My husband and I really enjoyed our time in St. John and staying at Captain's Cabin. It was so beautiful and quiet that we were able to totally relax - something very hard for my husband who is a type A workaholic - and de-stress. Of course being the animal lover that I am, I enjoyed getting my cat "fix" everyday with little personable Lucky who is a real sweetheart.... We even rented a boat for a few days to get around to the different gorgeous beaches
and that was a real treat for us. Thanks again so much for helping to make our ten year wedding anniversary one to remember! -Renee and Michael |

Oh My Gosh! What an excellent vacation we had at the Captain's Cabin. We spent 2 glorious weeks in the adorable cabin January of 2006. We have now booked our January 2008 vacation with Sue and we are bringing 2 other couples with us! Beautiful views from the huge deck. We woke each morning looking across the ocean right from our bed! Everything you could need available at the cabin. The location is secluded but still just minutes from wonderful restaurants and fabulous beaches. No kidding... just 5 minutes from Salt Pond Bay and that was our favorite beach. No crowds, beautiful reef to snorkel over, hiking. Who could ask for more. Drive to Cruz Bay was near enough to run over for shopping and supplies. Sue was so easy to deal with and so accommodating. We have never had such a wonderful time on a vacation before. Thanks Sue for making everything just perfect!

The view from Horizons Cottage has to be one of the best on all of St John. We made it a point to get up early enough to view every sunrise from the deck and they were great. The highlight of the trip had to be out on your sailboat, SHAKTI. The next best highlight was seeing the turtles, stingrays, and other wild creatures above and below the surf. Horizons has a perfect location for all the beaches, especially Salt Pond, the best of the best.The cottage is more than adequate for a wonderful vacation offering all the comforts of home.
